Nautilus Shell
The Nautilus
The word nautilus is derived from the Greek word ναυτίλος nautílos or "sailor."

The nautilus is a type of marine mollusk. Mollusks are aquatic animals with shells that do not have backbones. Other types of mollusks include: squid, octopi, snails, slugs, clams, oysters, scallops and mussels.
The nautilus shell represents one of the finest natural examples of a logarithmic spiral. A logarithmic spiral is a spiral curve that often appears in nature, like a spiral galaxy (our own Milky Way) or a sunflower head.

Octopus
The Octopus
is a soft-bodied, eight-limbed mollusk of the order
Octopoda.

The octopus is also a type of marine mollusk and is considered the most intelligent of all invertebrates. The soft body can radically alter its shape, enabling octopuses to squeeze through small gaps. They trail their eight appendages behind them as they swim.
Octopi use camouflage and the expulsion of ink to defend themselves against predators. The largest known octopus species is the Giant Pacific Octopus [156 lb] that lives in the coastal North Pacific oceans.

Butterfly
The Butterfly
Butterflies are insects in the same order as moths. Butterflies have conspicuous,

brightly colored wings, and have been found in the fossil records as far back as the Paleocene era, about 56 million years ago. Butterflies have a 4-stage life-cycle, which include the eggs, the caterpillar, the chrysalis and the butterfly.
The butterfly uses mimicry and camouflage to defend themselves against predators, and are considered one of the most appealing creatures in nature.
